What About Sin

Laying the Foundation

It seems that anyone who talks about coming to God next talks about the need to stop sinning. A common experience in the Religion of Christianity has been to focus largely on sinful behavior and trying to execute this sin in people's lives. However, this job belongs to the Holy Spirit of God. In addition God's perspective of sin is not centered on the behavior but on the sin of unbelief in Christ. In this teaching we study what it means to be born again of the Spirit of God and how if we learn to live from our new creation the fruit of our lives with be the patience, kindness, peace, joy, and rest that we all seek to have. These fruits are not something we can accomplish on our own but must be a work of the Holy Spirit living in and through us. We must consider ourselves dead to our flesh, ignoring it's voice in our lives and its rebellion against God. We learn that faith is about believing and not behaving.
