In order for us to hear the voice of God and receive His wisdom for our lives, we need to focus on developing a mutuality in our relationship and removing all that is in our lives that causes interference and obstruction to our unity and oneness with Him. Proverbs 2 gives an us outline of what this type of relationship is to look like in terms of our reciprocation to the things God has promised for our lives and the relationship He extends to us. We must be active in seeking Him and consider our wisdom and understanding absolutely worthless, even dangerous, to our obtaining the intimacy of knowing Jesus. He wants us to make Him the object of our passion and our desire. He wants to be our priority above all else and He promises that if we continue to search for Him in this way, we will find Him.
