If the Bible is the Word of God, then it is our very source and our treasury of all that we need to know about God, and therefore, it should have a place of authority in our lives. However, if the Bible is not the Word of God and is instead, just a collection of historical stories and creative analogies, then its place of authority in our lives should naturally be suspect and questionable.
