The letter to Thyatira teaches us to let the word of God be our absolute authority. We must not desire a “word” from God more than we do the Word of God. We must not give deference, power, and authority to someone just because of a demonstrative gift; but all must be tested against the Word of God. The temptation to compromise in suffering is tremendous; but the Lord wants us to hold on to His faith and stand firm till the end. He sees what we are going through; it is will for our lives. We should not try and circumvent it. He will reward our faith: we will rule the nations and in the mean time we will have Him as our hope—our Morning Star.
