Babylon the great, the mysterious name of the woman who rides the beast, is rooted in ancient Babel. Nimrod married Semiramis who started this cultic religion to maintain her husband’s power and control. This cult has spawned all the false systems of worship in the world, specifically the Mother/Son and female deity cults. Her religion has two tenants: 1) man can be good without the cross; and 2) and intolerance for true believers. As such, she has violently persecuted God’s people and spilled their blood; which is why she is clothed in scarlet; the color of blood and sacrifice.
