The second beast is presently marking those who belong to the system of the beast—those from every class of society—such that they cannot now buy or sell or effectively participate in the world’s economic system unless they bear the spiritual but unseen mark. Those who are marked on the forehead are participants in the system, those marked on the right hand are advocates. 666 represents the name and it stands for religious tradition which peddles its power to gain wealth.
