Satan evokes his followers to attack Israel and one nation (represented by the eagle) rescues the faithful elect and aids their escape to their place of protection. Satan then evokes the beast/Antichrist to attack the people of God. This is the war where he kills and damages faithful believers. But they are the victors for they were not afraid to die. Then we get a picture of the beast. He was the demonic spirit over six world empires and will be over the seventh. He will rise on the platform of 10 kingdoms that give him his power. He will have military might to force obedience. And it is Satan who gives him authority over the earth.
