Here we look at John 15:11 and consider what joy is (joy is not equal to happiness), how it provides us with the strength to endure, and how it is our life itself through Jesus. Joy isn't found by trying to adhere to Christian behaviors and disciplines but it is the result of walking in the Spirit of God through the new creation, actively believing the truth, and letting Him have His rightful place as Lord of our lives. It is Jesus' gift to us. It is His promise. We also take a look in review of chapters 13 through 15 (Jesus' last night with His disciplies) to understand why we can trust Him, why we must abide in Him continually, and how we can and should always experience His joy, never living a day without it.
