Reciprocation is required in all healthy relationships; thus, if your leader is doing the "work" of caring for your lives (real-time) then there is a duty to obey and submit. Obedience is a work of the Holy Spirit but submission is a choice resulting from the Spirit's enabling our will. We are also to diligently pray for our leaders; let them do their "work" with joy and not grief.
