Abraham, Isaac, Jacob all were “types” of the Father as they blessed the youngest son and gave him the rights of the firstborn. All these men, by faith, blessed the youngest—a prophetic picture pointing to Jesus. Similarly, the Father elevated Jesus to be the firstborn, heir to all things; and in so doing supplanted Adam who had been, humanly speaking, the firstborn of all creation. We fall in the blessing of Manasseh as we are joint heirs with Jesus.
