We are forgiven by Jesus’ sacrifice; no religious substitute will do. God brings temporal judgment against His adversary the Old Sinful Nature. The persecuted believers were considering returning to Judaism to end their persecution. God warned them not to shrink back. But with His judgment of persecution on our lives, He always brings healing and we learn why we need Him.
